An exploration of current safeguarding issues relating to BME pupils and those with EAL, including cultural issues and language barriers.
Delegates will learn to:
School staff will feel confident in being 'professionally inquisitive' when safeguarding pupils from other language backgrounds, cultures, religions and ethnicities. They will understand the risks for certain groups of children and know how to use EMAS' bilingual staff to support with safeguarding concerns.
