In order to address the growing teacher shortage in Portsmouth and nationally we need to look at teacher retention alongside teacher recruitment. DfE recognise high teacher workload as a major barrier to teacher recruitment and retention. We also know that well-being issues can affect teachers and school leaders as well as their pupils.
At this half-day conference Portsmouth school leaders will be invited to consider real-life examples where changes have been successfully implemented and had a positive impact on staff morale. Delegates will explore what practical steps can be taken to create a school culture that reduces workload and supports the well-being of all working in Portsmouth schools.
The conference programme will feature
The aim of the conference is to equip Portsmouth head teachers and senior leaders with practical ideas and inspiration that they can take back to their own schools, as well as fostering collaboration between schools.
This conference is being provided free of charge. Please note that a £50 charge will be made for delegates who are booked onto the conference and do not attend.
