Course description

An exploration of the new Ofsted framework and it's implications for pupils in your school who have English as an additional language.

Training objectives

Delegates will learn:



  • what the new Ofsted schedule is looking for in regards to pupils with EAL; including how inspectors are trained to inspect EAL

  • what schools need to consider when discussing EAL with Ofsted inspectors


 

Learning outcomes

Delegates will know what the new Ofsted framework means for teachers and their EAL learners.  They will be able to evaluate the provision for EAL learners within the school's curriculum and plan lessons that consider the three 'i's (intention, implementation and impact).

Cost:

  • Free to all Portsmouth schools with 'general support' or 'adviser' packages
  • Membership-only schools £100
  • £50 non-attendance fee charged to ALL schools who do not give 24 hours' notice
