For the Autumn term, training from EMAS continues to be a 'self-guided' offer, with a walk through of reading, reflection and activities to be undertaken independently, followed by a webinar where the key points will be discussed, questions answered and guidance given for individual situations.
The course materials will be sent out to anyone interested by email in September.

A course to support all admin and frontline staff in schools to better understand the BME and EAL census codes, consisting of self-guided learning (activities, quizzes, reading and reflection etc.) followed by a webinar to recap and address individual school issues.

• Why do we collect language and ethnicity data?
• The census requirements 2020-21
• Ethnicity: census codes
• First Language: census codes
By the end of this training, you will better understand the use of ethnicity and language census codes and the pupils who fall within these groups.
