During this course you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of resilience. With a greater knowledge of the 7 Cs of resiliency you will be better able to enhance the wellbeing of pupils and the class as you extend your use of strategies linked to Growth Mindset, collaborative problem solving and emotion coaching.

Code: SCH/21/12 Autism for the primary classroom

This course will cover a variety of strategies that can be embedded into a mainstream primary classroom to support a pupil/s with autism.
Beginning with establishing routines and adapting the learning environment providing a safe and secure place for pupil/s to learn. Managing transitions will be the next stage of the course, offering detail around visual support and scheduling. Communication is key to all of these strategies being successful, therefore a whole session will focus on understanding all forms of expressive and receptive communication. The ‘Bubbles Ethos’ will underpin all of these sessions and be considered in depth throughout.

Code: PCC/21/400 Basic Awareness of Children who Display HSB (AIM Introductory Course)

Harmful sexual behaviours (HSB) can provoke considerable anxiety in parent/carers and porfessionals. This one day course aims to demystify this whole area of work, increase awareness and empower carers and professionals to use transferable skills when manageing children and young people who present with HSB.

The training will provide professionals with a theoretical background about the development of sexual behaviour problems, and guidance on what works. It will also consider the impact on adults who are trying to manage a child or young person displaying HSB.
